Standing Committees |
Executive Committee is made up of the President, Past-President, Vice-President from the Public Sector, Vice-President from the Private Sector, Secretary and Treasurer. The Executive Committee shall exercise the duties of the Board of Directors between directors' meetings, and in emergency situations shall have the full authority in the Board's absence, with such action being affirmed by the Board at its next regular meeting. The Finance Committee consists of Board Treasurer and two other Board Members. The purpose of this committee is to evaluate the financial status of the Corporation and to periodically audit or review the financial records by outside disinterested parties. The Committee shall also be responsible for preparing an annual budget in coordination with the Executive Director for Board Approval. The Marketing Committee consists of four board members. The Committee works on issues related to marketing Ozaukee County and OED to business and general community. Examples of its work include the new marketing logo, updated website and upcoming promotion piece. The Business Relations Committee is made up of representatives from all the investor communities, MATC and other board members. The Committee works on business retention surveys and visits. The Board Development Committee consists of the President, Vice President of the private sector, Past President and one other board member. The committee works on issues concerning board member selection, election of officers, and board orientation and evaluation. The Governance Committee is made up of three board members including one member from the legal profession and the Board Secretary. The committee works on issues related to governance; bylaw revisions, organizational policies and procedures. OED Work Groups - Are not standing committees, but meet as needed. The Annual Event Work Group consists of three board members. The Group works to develop a successful outreach program to business and governmental leaders within Ozaukee County. Strategic Planning Work Group consists of four board members. The Group periodically reviews OED's Strategic Plan and is instrumental in updates. The Plan was recently updated in 2007. |
